PENALTY SHOOTOUT IQFive kicks · every kick is a clue · beat the keeper's guess
From the spot
How to play

A penalty shootout, but every kick is a question — and the keeper has guessed a name too.

  • Name a player who fits every clue and the ball is on target. But the keeper has guessed one fit — say the name he guarded and it's saved. Any other fit is a goal.
  • A name that doesn't fit is wide. Pass and it's over the bar.
  • The keeper leans on the obvious answer more the harder the kick: kick 1 is an open goal, kick 5 is a Panenka.
  • Five kicks each against the other side. It ends early when one side can't catch up; level after five goes to sudden death.
  • Some kicks add a decade — "Debuted in the '90s" — and only players who broke in that decade count.
